the new york times home section has a great feature today on $300 room makeovers. even though some of the results aren’t our aesthetic cup o’ tea, we love the idea that a relatively small investment can make a huge difference in the way a home is used.
take, for example, the brooklyn one-bedroom of a laid-off marketing executive:
fabric on the cheap, organizing bookshelves, rearranging furniture for better flow, painting walls and scuffed tabletops – all very simple, but effective, solutions.
